As a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and music educator with decades of teaching and performance experience, Alexander Hakobyan creates music across a spectrum of genres, styles, and sounds. From rock and folk to jazz and fusion, he feels at home wherever he can improvise—creating music that is above all explorative and free.
Alexander has performed around the world with just about every kind of musical group. He’s shared the stage with soulful singer-songwriters, rock bands, jazz masters, Eurovision contestants, classical ensembles, and major orchestras. He’s taken part in music festivals and platforms like Starmus and TEDx and contributed to dozens of recordings as a session musician. As a teacher, Alexander focuses on guitar and harmony across all levels, bringing a personal and creative approach to every lesson.
In his own music, Alexander avoids boundaries, blending influences and genres to create new soundscapes that are truly fusion. He is always looking for opportunities to push the limits of his creativity and engage with others in musical growth and collaboration.
